Thanks Angelenos
for Slowing for the Cone Zone and Moving Over during Sunday’s “swarm”
maintenance operation in Downtown Los Angeles.
Also, a big thanks to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) for their assistance with detours on city streets.
To
spruce up and overhaul the historic Hollywood Freeway (US 101)/Harbor Freeway
(I-110), Caltrans deployed 300 Department personnel and community service
workers into closed portions of the
southbound I-110/Hollywood Freeway (US 101) interchange between 3rd
Street and Wilshire Boulevard on Sunday, November 4, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Although
the closure may have delayed a few motorists traveling through downtown,
Caltrans was able to save thousands of taxpayer dollars, reduce the need for
future closures, enhance the safety of the corridor, and improve the aesthetics
of the landscape.
