First the bad news: Dollison Drive in Norwalk is closing, starting today, for about seven months. Now the good news: The road is being realigned to accommodate the I-5 widening in the area, which ultimately will reduce traffic congestion. But in the meantime, yes, Dollison Drive will be closed. Details:
Where: Dollison Drive between Dune Street and the Dollison Drive cul-de-sac.
When: March 4 through September 2013
Temporary Roads: Two temporary roads will be constructed for cul-de-sac residents, pedestrians and emergency responders.
Alternative Access: Beginning March 11, if you live on Allard Street, use Hercules Street. If you live on Thomas Place or the Dollison Drive cul-de-sac, use Tina Street. If you want to go to Sara Mendez Park, you can access the parking lot by using the one-lane driveway from Dune Street.
