Summer Slam on 60: Two Down 2 More 2 Go

Southern Californians you’ve done it again – Summer Slam on 60 was a success.  There were no significant delays and traffic smoothly moved through the area  this past weekend.   Let’s see if we can do it again.

Caltrans advises motorists to once again prepare for another round of  55-hour weekend lane closures on the Pomona Freeway (SR-60) between Fullerton Road and Nogales Street in Rowland Heights. 

Motorists should expect to do the same thing for the following dates:

Friday, August 9 at 10 p.m. – Monday, August 12 at 5 a.m.

  • 3 lanes of eastbound SR-60 to be closed
  • Hacienda Boulevard, Azusa Avenue, Fullerton Road and south Nogales Street  on-ramps to be closed
  • Fullerton Road and Nogales Street off-ramps to be closed
Friday, August 23 at 10 p.m. – Monday, August 26 at 5 a.m.
  • 2 lanes of eastbound SR-60 to be closed
  • Hacienda Boulevard, Azusa Avenue, Fullerton Road and south Nogales Street  on-ramps to be closed
  • Fullerton Road and Nogales Street off-ramps to be closed
  • Full freeway closure will be in effect in direction of weekend closure
Saturday 1 a.m. – Saturday 5 a.m. and Monday 1 a.m. – Monday 5 a.m.  for k-rail  installation and removal.
