Fork in the Road Paving Project on South Pasadena Avenue in Pasadena

Project limits
Caltrans will begin repaving portions of South Pasadena Avenue and South Saint John Avenue in Pasadena on Monday, July 14.  The project is expected to finish by mid-August.

Both avenues will be repaved with rubberized hot mix asphalt (RA) which will provide a much smoother ride, reduce maintenance costs, lower traffic noise for nearby residents, and is longer lasting.

Work hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Project limits:
  • South Pasadena Avenue between Columbia Street and California Boulevard
  • South Saint John Avenue between California Boulevard and Wigmore Drive
What to expect:
  • Motorists should expect delays, occasional noise and dust. 
  • Closures are subject to change.  
  • Signed detours will be in place if necessary. 
  • Residents will always have access.
All American Asphalt of Corona, California was awarded this $287,872 project which is funded by the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP).
