Fork In the Road Paving Project

Hot rubberized asphalt paving.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will finish paving South Pasadena Avenue and South Saint John Avenue between California Boulevard and Columbia Street in Pasadena tomorrow.

Please follow all signs and do not cross or knock barricades, they are there for motorist and worker safety.

Both avenues will be repaved with rubberized hot mix asphalt (RA) which will provide a much smoother ride, reduce maintenance costs, lower traffic noise for nearby residents, and is longer lasting.

Crews will work between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dust and noise should expected in the project area.  Local residents will be allowed entrance but should drive slow through the construction zone.

All American Asphalt of Corona, California was awarded this $287,872 project which is funded by the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP).
