Pavers and Wazers, Ready for Closure on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

Caltrans maintenance crew paving section of Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) in Malibu
Ok, here's the routine part of this blog entry:

Caltrans will close one southbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) between Big Rock Drive and Tuna Canyon Road Tuesday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for paving.  Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes.  The closure is weather permitting and subject to change.

The California Highway Patrol will be on duty. Remember to Be Work Zone Alert.

New and innovative side of this entry:

Did you hear that Caltrans has teamed up with Waze?

Caltrans has entered into a new, free data-sharing partnership with Waze (http://www.waze.com), the navigation app powered by drivers, in which each will share data to provide the public with better traffic and road information. Read more...

Will this help your commute on PCH? Let's hope so.  If you aren't familiar with Quickmap, be sure to check out:  http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
