Caltrans will reduce lanes and close ramps on north- and southbound US 101 to install new pre-cast concrete slabs, repave lanes, and install new guardrail, and hardscape Tuesday, July 5 to Saturday, July 9. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes.
Lane, connector, and ramp closures will occur at the following locations:
Tuesday, July 5 – Saturday, July 9, 11 p.m. - 6 a.m.
Up to three lanes closed on northbound US 101, from Sepulveda Boulevard to Tampa Avenue
Northbound I-405 connector to US 101
Friday, July 8 – Saturday, July 9, 10 p.m. – 8 a.m.
Up to three lanes closed on northbound US 101, from Parkway Calabasas to Las Virgenes Road
The pavement on north- and southbound US 101, connectors, and ramps will be rehabilitated by using rubberized hot mix asphalt, Portland concrete cement, and pre-cast concrete slabs. The existing metal beam guardrail (metal and wood barriers) will also be replaced to enhance safety.
This $62 million contract was awarded to Myers and Sons Construction, LP of Sacramento, California. The project is funded by the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP). The project is expected to finish in fall 2016.
